Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite maternity poses for a maternity gallery that includes three different but stunning portraits each and every single time.

Classic silhouette

With some variety in hand placement, angles, and eye contact, this classic pose will produce some of your most favorite maternity photos. This pose is a beautiful way to highlight the changes in your body and a reminder of just how fierce you are for creating that little life.

Laying down, snuggling belly

In my photography studio, I have a daybed that gives moms plenty of space to lie down. These images create more intimate, cozy portraits that showcase your curves and beauty. This works both in the studio and out in the field, with a blanket.

Family is always welcome to join in your maternity session! Whether it’s just you and your partner for now or you have a whole gang in tow, one of my all-time favorite poses is of everyone holding your belly and loving on the baby. I will always do my best to provide a variety of angles of interactions and details, but there’s something tried and true about this particular pose that I will continue to use forever because of how special it always turns out.
