As a small business myself, I love to share other small businesses with clients to help support our community. With the holidays around the corner, I thought I’d share some local, independent bookstores in the Dallas area that have a wonderful range of items!

1. The Wild Detectives – This bookstore and bar in the Bishop Arts District features a carefully curated selection of books in both English and Spanish, as well as a full-service café and bar. 2. Lucky Dog Books – With three locations in Dallas, Lucky Dog Books is a great spot to find used and rare books at affordable prices. 3. Interabang Books – This modern, family-owned bookstore in Preston Hollow offers a unique selection of books, including new releases, bestsellers, and hard-to-find titles. 4. Deep Vellum Books – Located in the heart of the Dallas Arts District, Deep Vellum Books is a non-profit bookstore that focuses on international literature, works in translation, and literary fiction. 5. The Dock Bookshop – This Black-owned bookstore in the Cedar Hill neighborhood offers a wide selection of books, including children’s books, self-help, and religious texts.
