2020 has been a difficult year in so, so many ways. For our public service men and women, the work load is crushing and often underappreciated. This year, I wanted to honor a public service worker and was thrilled to meet Dallas PD Officer Jasmine Alceus.

As a black woman police officer, I imagine the glass ceilings she has had to crush through are infinite already.

I hope this portrait of a mother is a reminder of the humanity in our officers.
