All too often, I hear moms mention that they haven’t had family photos since their kids were babies. Often times, these moms have kids ages 5+. Once those older years hit, life gets so busy, it can be difficult to prioritze family portraits the same way as you did when you were having babies.

The session below with two older boys goes to show that family portraits with your kids at any age is a wonderful idea. Imagine when the boys are graduating high school just how treasured these photos will be.

As they grow up before our eyes, it can be hard to remember the goofy grin of the preteen age or the particular way they insisted on wearing their hair. These ages are just as incredible as the baby years. Don’t skimp on documenting them just because they’re older.
